RCD Testing
Residual current devices (RCD) or commonly known as safety switches, reduce the chance of a severe, if not lethal electrical shock. The RCD will trip with even the smallest current increase across their circuit, they are very important when it comes to saving lives.
How we carry out tests on your RCD.

We follow the Australian and New Zealand Standard #3760:2022 specifically designed for electrical testing to create safe working environment.

1. Push Button Test - We will check to ensure the switch will trip when it is required.

2. RCD Trip Test - The RCD Trip Test will simulate to see how quickly your safety switch responds. It should trip within 40ms if it is working correctly.

3. Reporting - Once we have tested your RCD, we will place a tag on it stating whether it has passed or failed and enter it into our software system. You will receive a report on your RCD.
